We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team.
You will be part of our Accounts Payable Team, who are responsible for ensuring that invoices and payments are properly approved, processed on a timely basis and controlling expenses to help maintain an accurate balance sheet for our UK Pathways business.
You will provide support to our accounts payable function for our UK Pathways business. You will have key responsibilities in the day to day running of the business, working closely with the rest of the Accounts Payables Team to ensure smooth running of the expenditure process.
You will have broad exposure across the expenditure process, and there will be plenty of opportunities for ad hoc project work to improve our processes and to gain exposure to other teams within Finance and across the broader business.

What you’ll bring to the role
1. Have an interest in finance & accountancy/business or work experience in a finance role.
2. Have the aptitude to learn new concepts and tasks quickly.
3. Be a critical thinker, with high attention to detail, a good ability to self-review, and be able to work with accuracy when under pressure.
4. Be capable of working to deadlines and being able to manage your workload effectively when there is time pressure (such as payment due dates and month-end).
5. Enjoy working with systems, including finance systems, and be interested in process improvement to ensure your work is always efficient and effective.
6. Be very comfortable working with Excel (working knowledge of pivot tables, sumifs/vlookup/xlookup).
7. Be a clear and confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills so that you can work effectively with colleagues in the finance team.
