Job Title: Transport Administrator Location: Farnworth Employment Type: Permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 Role Overview: Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are routed and utilised effectively while meeting customer requirements on time. Key Responsibilities: Answering calls, managing bookings, and communicating effectively with customers. Confirming services via phone and email. Wasted journey reporting, re booking, and rescheduling services. Conducting driver debriefs and monitoring driver KPIs. Generating customer reports and updating systems daily. Accurate data input onto Excel and internal systems. Building effective relationships with customers, sub-contractors, drivers, and internal teams (Transport Manager and Fleet Manager). What We're Looking For: We are seeking someone with a wide skill set, including: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability. Ability to plan ahead, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work independently using your initiative. High levels of enthusiasm, drive, and leadership capabilities. A strong team player who is numerate and IT literate. Requirements: Location: Farnworth (must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting).
