Four Square Homelessness Charity is seeking a dedicated Waking Night Practitioner to join our Domestic Abuse and Gender-based violence service. This position plays a crucial role in providing overnight support to individuals experiencing homelessness. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, empathetic, and committed to creating a safe and secure environment for vulnerable women during the night.
The service addresses the unique and complex needs of individuals who are experiencing both homelessness and abuse. This service aims to provide support, protection, and resources to survivors of domestic abuse and gender-based violence who are also facing the challenges of homelessness.
This is a waking nights post, with shift pattern 9.45pm - 7.45am, working 3 shifts/4 shifts per week on a rotational basis.
Due to the nature of the service, applications are invited from women only, as the post is exempt under the Equality Act (2010).
About the post
Our Employability Programme supports people to gain the required skills and experience to move towards employment, further education, training or volunteering. You will work as part of the wider FareShare Depot team to support individuals to engage in our employability programme and reach their full potential. Your main duties will involve:
* Delivering employability workshops to a wide range of clients
* Engaging with organisations to promote our Employability programme and secure job opportunities for clients
* Continually monitoring and evaluating the employability programme
About you
You will be a values-led, experienced employability worker who engages well with people and demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment. You should also be:
* Experienced in delivering training or employability programmes
* Great at building relationships with partner organisations
* Excellent at planning and managing your own workload

We’ll empower you to work independently, with a supportive manager, and our experienced depot operations team. We will encourage you to use your initiative to deliver the programme, innovate new activities and learn on the job.
You will have access to wider Cyrenians support, including our learning and development programme and staff wellbeing services.

Fresh Start provides support to people moving on from or those at risk of homelessness. Fresh Start has been active in Edinburgh for over 25 years with a mission to help people make a home for themselves. Volunteering is at the center of Fresh Start’s ethos, and we are looking to diversify our team of volunteers to ensure all ages, backgrounds, and demographics are represented and given opportunities at Fresh Start.
Fresh Start offers a range of services to people either at the transition from homelessness or those who are at risk of homelessness. We provide people with the provision of household starter packs, white goods, painting and decorating services. Via our community hub, we offer a wide range of services including: cooking, community pantry and shop, growing spaces, provision of advice, information and support.
We are looking for a team player who would like to work in our busy warehouse, someone who is keen to learn, grow and develop themselves. Working alongside the rest of the starter pack team and our volunteers, the Warehouse and Services Assistant is a key role within the warehouse working alongside our volunteers to assemble and deliver starter packs, including the safe testing of electrical (training will be provided) items within the starter packs.

About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Service Coordinator with Turning Point Scotland where no two days are the same! This frontline management role will include:
* Being responsible for both directly undertaking initial and ongoing assessments of people we support and overseeing team members to do so.
* Providing informal and formal support, feedback, induction, engagement period reviews, appraisal and supervision to staff.
* Devising, reviewing and updating support plans, recording events and observations and keeping appropriate records as required in the service both directly and managing staff to do so.
* Providing leadership to staff to support people in accordance with their support plan, the principles of citizenship, and to maintain records correctly.
* Assisting the service manager to prepare information and the service for inspections/audits or similar and to contribute to these processes.

You will have a genuine commitment to use your skills and experience to support people to live their best lives. You will be supported by an incredibly approachable management team, allowing you to expand on your existing knowledge whilst developing new skills. You will have flexibility to work on a rota.
North East Edinburgh Recovery Hub
The North East Recovery Hub is a one-stop shop which offers a full range of drug and alcohol treatment and support services. We are a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Voluntary Sector TPS, NHS and social work staff. We are based with our main office in Leith, and a satellite location in Craigmillar.
We understand that everybody’s experience is different. When people come to the Hub, we personalize their care to achieve their goals.
The support we provide is always person-centered; we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services, and our own staff members.
