Your role:
As Railway and Transport Service - Assistant Manager, you will play a lead role in the development and delivery of the Haigh Woodland 15 inch Miniature Railway and Woodland Park Transport Service, including the Land Train (or e-Bus).
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Haigh Woodland Park Management Team in delivering the Railway attraction as part of the wider £50M transformation of the Park.
The Post Holder will lead on the Railway and Transport Business Plan, delivering to income and passenger targets as well as managing volunteers and developing links to the local community.
About you:
You will hold a Railway or appropriate Engineering Qualification to NVQ Level 3 Engineering / Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
You will have a minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience of Railway engineering, maintenance, and repair, preferably as Supervisor or Manager.
As well as having specific experience of Railway operations, you will also have good all-round general management skills and experience. You should have the ability to write plans, policy, and procedure, with experience of budget management, and staff recruitment and management.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a leisure/attraction environment.
