An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Accounts Payable Assistant to join a global organisation in South Manchester. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact, shaping a world of trust and security for all. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices efficiently, ensuring prompt payments to suppliers, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do:
1. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to provide outstanding service.
2. Monitor supplier invoice mailboxes and process invoices within agreed SLAs using specific scanning system.
3. Match invoices with receipted Purchase Orders accurately.
4. Identify and resolve purchase order and supplier invoice mismatches by collaborating with operations.
5. Address supplier issues such as missing purchase order numbers or incorrect company details.
6. Submit weekly supplier BACS runs and reconcile monthly supplier statements in line with KPIs.
7. Maintain Accounts Payable generic mailboxes and take ownership of assigned suppliers/entities.
8. Ensure effective escalation of issues and work towards achieving service level targets.
9. Perform ad-hoc duties as needed.
What you bring:
1. Previous experience in Accounts Payable is essential.
2. Customer-focused approach, with the ability to handle internal and external queries efficiently.
3. A collaborative team player with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines.
5. Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
6. Capable of processing high volumes of transactions quickly and efficiently.
