Medical Service Engineer
£35-40,000 + bonus, medical, pension, 33 days annual leave
The Company and Role
An international manufacturer and distributor of high risk medical devices is now hiring for a workshop-based Medical Engineer to join their growing team.
As the Workshop Engineer, you will be trained in the maintenance and repair of high risk medical equipment.
You will also provide remote technical support to Field Service Engineers as well as customers, including clinical staff and third-party medical engineering companies.
You will help investigate customer complaints in relation to medical equipment, identifying and reporting product issues.
Training
Training and development is available. As this role is working directly for the manufacturer, you will be given in-depth product training.
Whilst prior medical engineering experience is advantageous, this is not essential. Engineers with transferable skills who have maintained and repaired high value, technical equipment would be welcomed.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8hrs a day including breaks (e.g. 9am - 5pm). The company also offers flexitime to support those who require adjusted working hours, with either earlier or later start and finish times.
There is no weekend working, no on-call, and no overtime expectation. This company offers good work-life balance.
Location
You will be based full-time at the company's head office in Birmingham.
There will be no requirement to travel as part of this role, except for occasionally accompanying a field engineer on a job.

A basic salary of £35-40,000pa

How do I know if I should apply?
In order to apply for this role, you must have:
1. Previous maintenance and repair experience on electronically-biased, electro-mechanical devices.
2. Good IT competency - able to use emails, Excel, and internal equipment management systems.
3. Good customer-facing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Medical Engineering experience or experience as an engineer in the military (RAF, Navy, HM Forces etc.) is advantageous, but not essential.
Qualifications are not essential.
