We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed SEND Specialist Learning Coach to join our school team. We are a welcoming and supportive school, who work as a team to deliver the best possible outcomes and experiences for our pupils, working alongside parents, carers, TCT staff and external professionals.
What does the role involve?
The role of Specialist SEND Learning Coach forms an integral part of our school team. It involves collaborating with teachers, the SENDCo and outside agencies to support positive outcomes for children and supporting them to be the best that they can be. The role involves delivering teaching to groups of children, specifically those with SEND. This may take place in the classroom or within our dedicated nurture provision. It will involve supporting pupils with scaffolding, prompting and modelling to support their understanding.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an excellent practitioner who demonstrates patience in a range of situations, who can communicate effectively verbally and in writing and who can work collaboratively and reliably as part of a team. Experience of working with Primary age children would be beneficial, in addition to knowledge of how children learn including those with Special Educational Needs (SEND). The ability to ‘think of your feet’ is welcomed as flexibility is key to successful working with all stakeholders. We are ideally looking for a Learning Coach who is enthusiastic, passionate, and keen to support excellent educational outcomes for all our pupils, whatever their needs.
