About the Role:
As a SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support in both one-on-one and group settings. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to create a nurturing learning environment that fosters each student's academic, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students with SEN
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles and needs
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other staff to support student progress
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or willingness to train
Strong understanding of special educational needs and differentiation strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience
Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships with students and parents
