You will support the service's administration needs, including new starter paperwork, organising training and managing leave requests. You will liaise with new staff members as you manage and verify their compliance documents, including DBS checks, identification, references and Right-To-Work.
As an administrator, being organised and keeping the general office function running smoothly will be second nature; files will be in the right place and kept confidential, post will be cascaded, phones will be answered in a friendly and helpful way, and spreadsheets will be up to date and logical.
Working alongside senior staff members, you will manage staff absences and leave requests, maintain personnel files, and produce audits.

As an Administrator you will:
* Preparing, formatting and proof-reading documents/reports.
* Co-ordinating all administration and data collection
* Organising meetings, including booking of meeting rooms/facilities.
* Taking and writing up minutes for Meetings where required,
* Tracking actions from meetings.
* To ensure that any filing is promptly undertaken.
* Assisting with general correspondence/typing.
* To support the archiving of hospital information.
* To deal with telephone calls and enquiries promptly, sensitively and efficiently, providing an immediate response and referring as necessary. To understand and respect the sensitive nature of calls, particularly those relating to patients and their relatives.
* Maintaining the confidentiality of information according to Elysium Healthcare’s policies
* Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with a range of individuals including staff, service users, their relatives and carers, professional bodies, and the public.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues.
* Having a positive attitude and approach to people with mental health problems.
* Compliance with policies and procedures.
* To support the clinical admin team which includes MHA Administrator and Medical Secretary where required
* To support the HR Team which may include induction program, maintaining databases, maintaining staff compliance, attending/minuting HR meetings.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Level/GCSE standard or equivalent
* Experience of working as an administrator in a mental health setting.
* A high level of computer literacy and IT skills regarding common Microsoft platforms and applications.
* Good knowledge and use of the English language including grammar, spelling and punctuation
* Experience of working within a framework of confidentiality
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professionals at all levels
* Flexible and reliable
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Self‐motivated, adaptable, enthusiastic and positive approach.

Location: The Farndon Unit, Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW
You will be working at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.
You will join the multidisciplinary team in providing specialist care for people with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability.
The combination of general low secure wards and a recovery ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering recovery and rehabilitation.
