As a Reservationist at Ashdown Park Hotel, part of the Elite Hotel Group, you will be joining a dynamic, friendly team dealing with sales enquiries via telephone or email. The team provide the highest quality of guest service standards with the aim of exceeding expectations at all times.
You will ensure guest room bookings and dinner reservations are dealt with in a flawless and professional manner using our Property Management System called Opera; liaise with the reception team and conference office and be responsible for your own administration. As part of your day to day role, you will be knowledgeable about Ashdown Park Hotel's facilities and be confident in promoting and recommending these to guests in order to maximise sales and provide the highest quality of service. You will also ensure that you are aware of our competitor’s facilities, and special promotions.
The Reservations Office is open 7 days a week, therefore rotas will include working on a Saturday/and or Sunday on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. To be an exceptional and professional ambassador for the Elite group in all business relations
2. To answer incoming reservation calls promptly and professionally, securing direct business
3. To respond in a timely manner to all email enquiries
4. To convert online business to maximise sales and revenue
5. To keep the customer database updated at all times, ensuring relevant profile notes are added
6. To complete Daily and Weekly Business Reports
7. To ensure all business is balanced and aid in producing the End of Day Report
Reservations Key Attributes
8. A resilient and confident telephone manner
9. Previous experience as a Receptionist or hotel Reservationist is preferred but not essential as we are looking for a person who is able to demonstrate a passion for learning and creating memorbable experiences for our guests.
10. Able to provide and evidence exceptional levels of customer service and/or sales experience
11. Respond positively to targets
12. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
13. Excellent administration; organisation; IT skills (Word, Excel or similar) and attention to detail is paramount
14. Well groomed, polite, problem solver and customer focused
