Pay starts at $29-$35 per hour plus $1 per an hour shift differential
2nd Shift: 3:30pm-2am
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repair maintenance, and adjustments on equipment, buildings, and grounds, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Reviews equipment records to perform preventative maintenance according to schedule
* Performs or directs troubleshooting as needed
* Participates in the installation, repair, and removal of production line equipment as needed
* Consults with machinery manufacturers as needed
* Reviews daily maintenance schedule to plan work for the shift to encourage the efficient utilization of equipment and facilities within cost guidelines
* Performs repair and preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds
* Work includes controls, electrical, pneumatics, carpentry, light welding, and plumbing
* Performs all functions according to sound safety principles and company policies and procedures
* Anticipates and determines causes of delays, or machine malfunctions, in operations, and takes appropriate action to meet deadlines
* Communicates with Supervisors, Plant Manager, Scheduler, and Maintenance Staff as necessary about potential concerns
* Understands all procedures and processes for the department and assists with the training of personnel
* Attends training, both on and off site, to maintain technical knowledge
* Reviews and maintains spare parts inventory, orders parts, and supplies as needed
* Maintains good housekeeping in the department
* Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including maintenance reports and repair logs, utilizing CMMS software to track downtime, and labor and parts cost by each piece of equipment
* Responsible for department quality and takes corrective action as needed to ensure quality is met
* Aids the production operations by working as a fabricator or programmer as needed
* Supports production lines as needed
* Communicates and supports company goals and objectives
* All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Completion of High school diploma or GED, plus up to two years of formal education, or three years experience
* Two years previous maintenance/troubleshooting with education
* Three years experience without formal education
* Must have a valid MADrivers License
* Ability to read blueprints and schematics
* Ability to multi-task
* Mechanical ability
* Problem-solving skills
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to work with and train others
* Knowledge of PLCs and control systems
* Fabrication experience a plus
