Role Overview
Brookfield is seeking an Analyst who will work directly with a wide range of real estate portfolio companies controlled by Brookfield including Selenta, Experimental JV, edyn, Appart’city, and Center Parcs, and other European investments held within Brookfield’s opportunistic private equity funds. The Analyst will assist with the strategic decision making, investment activities and reporting activities of real estate companies owned by the BSREP II, III,IV, and V series of opportunity funds. Brookfield takes an active oversight approach with its portfolio companies, specifically regarding major investment, divestment, financing, and operational decisions. The successful candidate will require regular interaction with both senior leadership of Brookfield and senior management of portfolio companies within hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
1. Performing complex financial analysis and valuations
2. Modelling the impacts of the returns either to the business or within the portfolio
3. Preparing marketing materials for both internal and external use (co-investor reporting packages, quarterly reporting, investor day presentations, etc.)
4. Assisting in the preparation and review of all internal fund reporting
5. Assisting operating management teams and asset management colleagues with other corporate development transactions as required, including financings, acquisitions, business plan forecasting, and strategic planning
6. Attending regular quarterly board meetings for the companies, helping in preparation of materials where required
7. Writing investment committee memorandum and presenting investment recommendations
8. Maintaining industry data / summarizing publicly available information on a regular basis
Candidate Profile
9. 1-3 years of experience in real estate investing, investment banking, M&A, and/or private equity
10. Fluency in Spanish, French, German or another European language is an asset
11. Excellent analytical, financial modelling and valuation skills, ideally with a real estate and/or corporate focus
12. Existing knowledge of hotel operations and capital markets
13. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
14. Project planning and self-management skills
15. Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast paced and team-oriented environment
16. Meticulous attention to detail is essential
17. Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
