Engineering Supervisor - Stevenage - £50,000
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £50,000 + Plenty of Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday Days 8AM – 5PM
One of the well-known companies in the FM and Maintenance industry is currently looking to recruit a key member of staff to add to a commercial contract in Stevenage.
Candidates must have a strong technical understanding and a proven track record in the commercial building services environment. The role involves supervising the effective and efficient running of the onsite hard services functions, which comprise Electrical, Mechanical, and Building fabric disciplines. You will supervise all staff with their daily PPM work schedules and any known reactive tasks planned from start to finish.

Duties will include:
* Liaise with clients on production shutdowns as part of the working schedule.
* Ensure any materials and supplies required for effective maintenance of the site are ordered and delivered on time as required.
* Support the Hard Services Manager in preparing and controlling departmental budgets and life cycle information to produce annual budgets and forecasts.
* Assist in preparing business cases for future capital expenditure projects.
* Review asset registers and maintenance records to determine the life cycle of equipment.
* Manage the team against agreed SLAs and KPIs as per the client contract.
* Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure all health and safety processes and procedures are adhered to at all times.
* Manage Toolbox talks as required.
* Deliver continuous improvement by employing best practices and innovative solutions.
* Ensure specialist equipment used on site is fully maintained and calibrated correctly at all times.
* Liaise with the contract team on PPM schedules and tasks from the in-house Maximo system, ensuring all PPMs are returned completed to the Maximo office.
* Ensure that Agility Work Orders are continuously updated to maintain accuracy of real-time MI.
* Ensure that all sub-contractors are working under correctly issued permits, and that permit checks are carried out.
* Attend client/supplier meetings as required on behalf of the Hard Services Manager.
* Liaise with individual production managers by site to confirm time and date tasks can be undertaken.
* Support the projects team on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements:
* City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical installation or recognised equivalent
* 17th or 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Registration or recognised equivalent
* Approved apprenticeship or appropriate experience within Building Services
* Previous Critical Experience
* Health & Safety Training
* Previous Supervisory/Management experience is required.
