Position: Junior Composite Structural Engineer
This role is ideal for an individual with an engineering background in composite materials, ideally from the Marine, Aerospace, or Offshore Wind sectors, with experience working on large composite parts and components.
The role will involve carrying out engineering on a wide range of projects using analytical and design skills, in collaboration with a project team. You will plan and manage engineering projects as well as working with customers and end users to ensure deliverables meet customer requirements.
While candidates with one to two years of experience are preferred, recent graduates with a strong understanding of composite materials and a basic knowledge of FEA calculations will also be considered.
Key responsibilities:
Conceptual structural design and detailed design and analysis of composite engineering projects under the supervision of a more experienced engineer.
Assist in the development of innovative and efficient engineering solutions and working methods
Develop own technical capability and broaden engineering knowledge across different markets
Planning, project management and client liaison on engineering projects under the supervision of a more experienced engineer.Benefits include:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
Professional experience of 1-3 years in either a design office or a composite manufacturing firm, ideally.
Knowledge and experience of working with structural composite materials and building methods.
Knowledge of Rhino and/or SolidWorks (or other 3-D CAD Packages) advantageous.
Knowledge of Altair Hyperworks and experience with Finite Element Analysis advantageous.
