Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant\n Location: Sunderland\n Pay Rate: £87 - £108 per day (Dependent on experience)\n Start Date: Immediate\n Contract Type: 3 days a week\n\nAre you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)?\n\nGSL Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.\n\nAbout the Role:\n As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students with SEN, helping them to thrive in the classroom. You’ll assist teachers, offer one-on-one support, and help students develop key academic and life skills.\n\nKey Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistant:\n\nSupport students with personalised learning plans.\nProvide one-to-one and small group support.\nTrack and monitor student progress.\nWork closely with teachers, staff, and parents.\nHelp create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.\nEncourage students to stay engaged and motivated.\nMaintain accurate records of student progress.\nA candidate for the SEN Teaching Assistant role should have: \n\nA degree (any subject).\nExperience supporting students, preferably in an SEN setting.\nExcellent communication skills.\nAbility to build strong relationships with students and staff.\nPatience, empathy, and a real commitment to supporting students.\nWhat We Offer to a SEN Teaching Assistant:\n\nCompetitive pay rates based on your experience.\nA variety of teaching opportunities in different schools.\nSupport from a dedicated consultant throughout your placement.\nThe chance to work in schools that value quality teaching.\nSafeguarding Commitment\n\nThis role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
