Scheme Manager
Tweenaway Court, Paignton
GBP 23,774 : GBP 24,510 per year

We are looking for a Scheme Manager to join our Sanctuary Independent Living Older Persons team which consists of Housing Officers and 11 Scheme Managers in the Team across Devon and Cornwall. Based at Tweenaway Court, you will be responsible for the day:to:day management of the scheme ensuring there are no risks to the residents or assets in the scheme. The role offers an onsite presence and encourages residents who are either elderly or vulnerable to live as independently as possible. A typical day would involve intercom calls followed by any call back requests/visits, provide assistance with repairs, rents, housing matters as well as health issues.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual, who puts the resident first and can work independently using processes to ensure the scheme is well managed and run efficiently.
The role of Scheme Manager will include:

Encourage residents to maintain their wellbeing and independence through support and promoting resident involvement

Effectively manage good relationships with key stakeholders and other service providers
:
Completing compliance testing including fire alarm checks and water temp checks
:
Reporting any hazards and supporting the repairs of these to ensure communal areas are kept free
:
Completing weekly wellbeing calls to residents who require this service at the scheme and make safeguarding referrals when required
:
Referring residents to support agencies when required and helping them access the different service available to them
:
Dealing with low level anti:social behaviour complaints within the scheme and resolving resident disputes
Skills and experiences:
:
Experience of working with older people in a support capacity and understanding their individual needs or similar
:
Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
:
Excellent knowledge of effective communication at all levels
:
Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
:
Experience of resident involvement and community care values would be an advantage
:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
:
Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
