Drawing on generations of experience and a proud family history in the Melbourne property landscape, the Family Office has a distinguished track record of partnering with developers and delivering a broad range of landmark development projects.
There are 3 key lines of business, with this individual specifically being involved in the property interests:
1. Direct Property Developments OR Longer Term Passive Investments
2. Property Development Capital Partnerships (Debt or Equity)
3. Alternative Equity portfolios
The Property Analyst will provide high-quality financial and analytical support to the Head of Real Estate Investment. The role is responsible for undertaking deal analysis, financial modelling, and preparing key property-related reports to support decision-making. The Property Analyst will also assist in performance tracking, scenario analysis, and ensuring accurate financial management reporting for active and passive property investment assets.
Your Responsibilities
1. Conduct Net Present Value (NPV) analysis, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations, and cash flow forecasting for lease agreements and property investments.
2. Analyse the valuation impact of transactions and market conditions on property portfolios.
3. Support negotiations by providing financial insights and deal comparisons.
4. Provide high-quality analytical support to the Head of Real Estate Investment for strategic decision-making.
5. Develop and maintain financial models to support asset management strategies.
6. Assist in due diligence preparation of recommendation papers for acquisitions, disposals, and lease renewals.
7. Gather and analyse market data, property trends, and benchmark rental rates, and property values to support investment decisions.
8. Prepare and coordinate all financial management reporting related to properties, including budget vs. actual performance analysis.
9. Assist in the preparation of Property Investment Committee Reports and Family Board reports on property portfolio performance.
You Will Need
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Property, Economics, or related field.
2. 5-7 years of experience in property valuation with working knowledge of valuation principles, analysis, financial modelling, and ideally with exposure to asset management across different asset classes and geographies.
3. Strong understanding of NPV, IRR, and cash flow forecasting.
4. Proficiency in financial modelling and Excel and experience with Estate Master.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly.
8. Understanding of property market trends, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis.
