We are looking for an experienced therapy manager to support the acute therapies team taking on management responsibility for the services alongside the Head of Therapies. If you have strong experience managing staff and services this might be the next opportunity to use and enhance those skills managing services across 2 acute sites and 4 professions (Speech therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Dietetics). Strong operational managers (non clinical) will be considered if management experience is related to similar teams/workforce.
The Deputy Head of Therapies is a key management role and has the following areas of responsibility:
· Supporting the Head of Therapy to take forward agreed projects to improve service delivery, promote education and role development opportunities, and promote excellent patient experience for inpatient areas across Acute Therapies.
· Lead on ensuring that all recruitment, retention and succession planning activities are timely and well planned across site.
· Provide senior level support to the Therapies Management Teams (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy andDietetics) in operational matters related to ensuring high standards of service provision are achieved and maintained.
· Problem solving as appropriate, developing and implementing lasting solutions in conjunction with clinical colleagues.
· To take a lead in the ongoing review of the in patient service and develop innovative, efficient and effective models of service delivery, ensuring KPIs are achieved
· To be responsible for allocation of workload within the departments, adapting to unpredictable changes and demands on the service, to prevent a detrimentaleffectonlength of stay.Ensureadequate staffing levelsand skillmixare maintained.

1.2 TohavebudgetaryresponsibilityforallTherapyservices alongside Head of Therapies,managingpayandnon-pay budgets, ensuring quality and value for money.
1.3 Support the Head of Therapies in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies/proceduresandguidelineswhichimpactacrosstheTrustandotheragencies e.g.SocialServicesandVoluntaryorganisations.
1.4 To plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate Therapy services
1.5 To develop partnership working with organisations managerially and professionally e.g. Integrated Care Partners, ICB and Social Care.This involves working across organisational boundaries e.g. secondary to primary care and Social Services.
1.6 Advising other agencies and departments with regard to Therapy services.
1.7 Deputise for Head of Therapy when required at divisional level and other senior management meetings both internal and external to the organisation.
1.8 To be responsible and accountable for responding to and resolving complaints made regarding Therapy services.
1.9 SupporttheHeadofTherapiestodevelopbusinessplanningforTherapyservices.
