About the role: As our Health & Safety Coordinator, you will support the Health & Safety Manager in the organising and planning of compliance activities, ensuring that Health & Safety standards are adhered to, and that all activities are compliant with legislation. You will actively contribute to, and champion a strong health & safety culture within the division and throughout the wider business. This role is predominately based at our Head Office in County Park, however the role will also require visits to our various operational sites across Wiltshire and surrounding areas. Your key responsibilities as our Health & Safety Coordinator will include: • Assist in the reporting of compliance performance against agreed company metrics and KPI’s. Produce and distribute monthly/quarterly reports, ensuring data is accurate and timely. • Provide general administration support and co-ordination of all Health & Safety activities throughout the division, maintaining company software and be the nominated system superuser for the division, supporting managers when required. • Co-ordinate, monitor and maintain incident and near miss reports, ensuring all matters are dealt with in a timely manner, escalating where required, and be responsible for maintaining COSHH assessments using the latest MSDS and distributing information to sites. • Monitor and maintain the inhouse learning management system, ensuring records are always up to date and proactively co-ordinate and book employees on to required training courses. What we’re looking for in our Health & Safety Coordinator : Essential • Previous experience in a similar role. • Excellent communication skills and be able to support across all levels of the business. • A willingness to develop and pursue professional development in the health, safety and environmental field. • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to bring a logical and methodical approach. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. • Full UK Driving Licence and own transport. Desirable • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. • IOSH Managing safely. • Knowledge of The Quarries Regulations 1999 & the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. • Previous experience in delivering training programs/toolbox talks. • Previous experience with Eco-Online/ Health & Safety management portals. • Previous experience with Learning Management Systems/On-line training systems.
