Description
Due to recent, continued growth, V.E.S are now looking to employ a new apprentice Fire and Security engineer! The successful individual will get the opportunity to work for an established employer and over the course of 3 years will learn and grow within the industry, eventually becoming a multi-disciplined Fire and Security engineer.
As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be learning about, and working on, installing, repairing and maintaining the following fire and security equipment:
* CCTV
* Intruder alarms
* Access control
* Door entry and access control
* Fire alarms
Entry requirements
Desired skills/qualities:
* 17+ due to driver's license requirement
* Must hold a valid UK driver's license
* Ideally live within 15 miles of the office - Aylesbury, Luton, Houghton Regus, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard etc
* Ideally have some experience with electrics, or electric-related qualification
* Genuine interest in learning more about the fire and security industry
* Technically minded with decent IT skills
* Comfortable with travelling to Watford 1 week in every 8 weeks for block release classroom training
Training to be provided
Skills for Security will deliver the Level 3 apprenticeship.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre, and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company requires you to complete.
Things to consider
The apprenticeship is 36 months and full commitment is required throughout the duration of your studies.
Training is delivered via block release every 8 weeks at the Watford training centre.
The pay for this role is negotiable based on experience.
Future prospects
The successful apprentice will go on to become a well-rounded full-time engineer following completion of the apprenticeship.

Working week: Monday - Friday
