This is an exciting opportunity to provide the tactical lead role to the Warwickshire Local Resilience Forum (LRF). The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the required values, behaviours, knowledge, and experience to deliver in the role.
The Warwickshire LRF consists of all agencies involved with emergency response in our communities. The LRF was formed in 2005 in response to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. This act requires specific agencies to work together to prepare, respond, and recover from different emergencies. The aim of the LRF is to ensure that the duties stated in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 are achieved.
To ensure partners can work together and develop multi-agency cooperation in Warwickshire, we require a motivated individual who is used to working with the different agencies involved in resilience. The role requires an individual who can operate at all levels (operational to strategic) and is able to bring individuals from a range of agencies and groups together to deliver high-quality and fit-for-purpose arrangements. The post holder will be the Tactical lead for Warwickshire LRF and will deliver the actions set by the LRF Strategic Group. The post holder will take an active role in developing and delivering the national priorities as outlined in the UK Government Integrated Review, providing the evidence to feed into the National Resilience Strategy.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide high levels of customer service across the LRF. They must possess a good understanding of resilience and be able to communicate both in person and in writing. The ability to work under pressure and deal with difficult and sensitive topics is essential.
