About the Role:

The Team: Join our Geospatial Data Team as an Internal GIS Product Owner, where you'll lead the development and implementation of GIS applications and data within Commodity Insights - Data Operations. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and data analysts to drive product success. You'll be part of a dynamic team with diverse skill sets, contributing to a larger geospatial network across Commodity Insights, and playing a key role in shaping the future of our Internal GIS products.
Responsibilities and Impact:
* Define and communicate the strategic vision and roadmap for Internal GIS products.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to gather insights and prioritize product requirements based on market trends and customer feedback.
* Engage with senior management to present clear, actionable insights that support strategic objectives.
* Develop and maintain a detailed product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
* Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development and performance.
* Continuously explore industry advancements in GIS technology to integrate innovative solutions into our product offerings.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Demonstrate experience as a Product Owner or similar role, focusing on GIS products.
* In-depth understanding of GIS concepts, technologies, and tools.
* Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and practices.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
* Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail; adept at managing multiple projects.
* Experience with a number of GIS technology solutions, such as ESRI (Desktop, Online, Enterprise, API for JavaScript), Open Source (QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, GDAL), Google Cloud GIS Stack, Microsoft GIS Stack including PowerBI, MapBox, Carto, FME, R and Python Geospatial Libraries.
* Proven ability to integrate industry innovations into product development.
