Role Overview: The Building Fabric Surveyor is responsible for managing building maintenance, compliance, and project delivery across a diverse campus. This includes designing, procuring, and executing long-term maintenance plans and refurbishments while ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver maintenance projects using internal and external suppliers. Manage budgets, tender documentation, and compliance with financial policies. Develop lifecycle maintenance plans and ensure works are logged in the CAFM system. Oversee refurbishment projects, quality standards, and contractor management. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, conducting audits as required. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Experience : Managing maintenance/construction projects, interpreting drawings, and coordinating contractors. Skills : Strong project management, communication, and IT skills (MS Office, AutoCAD). Qualifications : HNC/HND in a construction-related field, NEBOSH, and City & Guilds technical qualifications. Desirable Skills: Experience leading project management teams and familiarity with related construction disciplines. Recognized management qualification or coaching experience.
