Our client, a leading infrastructure contractor, is currently seeking a Buildings CEM (Construction) to join their team based in Nottingham, with travel to York and Leeds. This role is part of the Network Rail Minor Works, presenting an exciting long-term opportunity for individuals with a strong background in civil engineering and buildings within the rail sector. Key Responsibilities: Act as the Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) for building-related work packages, ensuring compliance with NR/L2/INI/02009 Provide construction leadership across a range of minor works, including station enhancements and associated civils Coordinate with CREs and technical leads to ensure engineering integration, safety, and constructability throughout the lifecycle of each project Oversee the preparation and assurance of engineering deliverables including WPPs, TQs, ITPs, and handover documentation Work closely with Network Rail stakeholders, providing technical guidance and ensuring alignment with contractual and technical requirements Support site teams in planning, sequencing, and resourcing construction activities efficiently and safely Contribute to reviews, audits, and risk assessments to maintain engineering excellence and compliance Job Requirements: Proven experience as a CEM within the rail sector, ideally on Network Rail frameworks Strong construction background in civil engineering and buildings - stations, depots, platforms, etc. Thorough understanding of Network Rail processes and standards, including NR/L2/INI/02009 Experience delivering minor works in a live rail environment Excellent stakeholder and team coordination skills PTS certification preferred Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status desirable but not essential If you are an experienced CEM looking for a new contract opportunity with a leading infrastructure contractor, apply now to further your career within the rail sector
