If you are an OT who would like to develop experience within different settings including mental health and learning disabilities we currently have vacancies for Occupational Therapists within our rotational scheme due to promotion.
You would be based with a variety of teams across Lancaster. In the future we’re hoping to add clinical areas in Morecombe and South Cumbria. You will work within each team for 12 months. The teams currently include;
The Orchard: Adult In-Patient Mental Health Services, Pathfinders Drive, Lancaster, LA1 4JJ.
Older Adult Community Mental Health Team, De Vitre House, Ashton Road, Lancaster, LA1 5AN.
Adult Learning Disability Services, Pathfinders Drive, Lancaster, LA1 4JJ.
You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills having access to preceptorship and a training and development programme with an emphasis on continuous quality improvement. You will also work with and receive supervision from experienced Occupational Therapists and OT Technical Instructors.
There are plenty of opportunities for professional development including evidence based best practice forums, an Allied Health Professional journal club; peer development and support groups and an AHP research and innovation forum.
There is also the flexibility and scope to move into other areas of the Trust should your personal circumstances change.
