The role of assistant technical officer within Pharmacy technical services offers the post-holder a wide variety of duties and the chance to work as part of a forward thinking and dedicated team. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and you will need to be able to work effectively with the existing team within the Pharmacy Department Main duties of the job Main duties will include but are not limited to: Receipt, unpacking, accuracy checking and recording of all goods delivered to the department. Putting away stock received into their appropriate location. Convey routine factual information regarding supply problems to relevant senior staff as appropriate. Clean and disinfect all areas of the department, including clean rooms and isolators on a regular basis to defined standards required by Good Manufacturing Practice following standard operating procedures (SOPs). Maintaining accurate recording of activities according to departmental procedures. Carrying out repackaging and over-labelling of medicines including resuscitation trays.
