Job Description:
Vital Human Resources is currently recruiting for experienced Pipefitter Welders to work on commercial plant room installations. The initial projects will be based in Barry and then Newport, each project is expected to last approximately 3 months. There is strong potential for further ongoing work, with up to five additional projects scheduled following completion of the initial two.
You will be working as part of a team responsible for assisting with the installation and welding of 8-inch pipework. The role will require a high level of skill in both pipefitting and welding to ensure work is carried out safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and welding of 8” carbon steel pipework in plant rooms
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Working closely with other trades and site supervisors
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pipefitter Welder in a commercial or industrial environment
Relevant Pipefitting and Welding qualifications (NVQs, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Ability to work from isometric drawings
CSCS or equivalent card
Strong work ethic and reliability
