Gap healthcare is currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our client based in Tiptree for an experienced Registered Manager for a children’s home.
This role is permanent and full-time, with a salary of up to £42,000 - £48,000 per annum (based on experience).
Our client provides specialist support to children and young people in care.
Purpose of the Role:
To be responsible for shaping and delivering the Children’s residential home’s Statement of Purpose and managing the team to achieve the same. To provide high-quality care services that support the needs of the residents, to be an advocate for their well-being, and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage a Children’s Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
* Act as the Registered Manager for Ofsted.
* Participate in an On-Call system.
* Ensure adherence to the Company's financial and administrative procedures and work within a set budget.
* Be accountable for liaising with regulatory organisations regarding the management of the home.
* Participate in the recruitment of staff, including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees.
* Ensure professional ethics and behaviour are demonstrated by all staff. Provide support, advice, and coaching to all staff within the home.
Main Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Thorough understanding of OFSTED compliance.
* Level 5 in Health and Social Care - Children Services.
* Driver with access to a car.
