Job Title: Shift Process Operator Responsible To: Department: Operations / West Thurrock Reporting To: Shift Chargehand Job Purpose: Shift Process Operators are responsible for overseeing the production process of a chemical plant facility. The goal of a process operator is to monitor equipment and improve the quality, efficiency and safety of the manufacturing plant. Key Accountabilities: Use of Data Acquisition software to monitor the condition of process parameters Reading instruments and making adjustments to settings as required Packing and storing finished batches Manual operation of valves, pumps and set points. Taking scheduled samples for lab or on plant self-analysis. Supervision of goods in and out, including loading unloading of road tankers and using forklift trucks. Physical data logging onto paper records for archiving. Some manual work including cleaning and replacing filters etc. Ensure that any problems are reported to the relevant manager/department immediately Ensure that personal protective clothing is worn at all times. As this is a 24/7 site you are required to work on a shift rota basis which will include shifts covering nights and weekends. Other: Carry out any reasonable duties as identified by the Chargehand or Site Manager Positively represent ICL to our customers and suppliers Ensure compliance with all contractual employment obligations. Ensure compliance with our ISO standards. Fully participate in the company's performance management and development programmes. Maximise own ability to produce quality work, on time, and to brief, utilising best skills and available technology. Work in accordance with the Company's Human Resources policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements at all times.
