JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Team is responsible for maintaining three manufacturing units at the Rushden site. This role involves scheduling
and organising tasks to support the upkeep and compliance of these operations. Key duties include collaborating with contractors,
maintaining documentation and task lists, monitoring expenditures, and supporting ongoing improvements to enhance the department's
value impact.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee the Annual Maintenance Schedule:
* Develop and agree on plans with the Facilities Team Leader to minimise costs and operational disruptions. This covers
buildings, grounds, services, factory machines and fleet.
* Organise pre-planning activities for each event, including reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and other
contractor documentation, organizing inductions, and ensuring effective communication.
* Collect post-event reports and certificates, summarize findings, facilitate timely follow-up reviews for any outstanding
issues, and maintain well-organized electronic records.
* Record Keeping and Documentation:
* Manage departmental record-keeping processes, such as vehicle bookings, key allocations, and task list maintenance.
* Procurement and Budget Management:
* Assemble quotations, raise, submit, and follow through on purchase requests for facilities-related expenditures, including
contractor works, service contracts, parts, and ad-hoc items.
* Monitor, analyse, and report on departmental metrics, such as spending versus budget.
* Contract Management:
* Support routine reviews and re-tendering of service contracts to ensure they represent the best value.

* Project Management:
* Lead the delivery of smaller-scale projects, such as the installation of facility assets.

* Proven experience within a facilities role.
* Experience working within a helpdesk system
* Experience of a manufacturing environment

* Excellent IT literacy skills, competent in the use of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint
