Job Title: Broadband Installation Engineer Location: Midlands (Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Welsh Borders) Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 DOE (progressing to £33,000 when fully operational) Discretionary annual bonus (vehicle provided) Job Summary: The broadband installation engineer role is critical to connecting our customer to the network. Utilising fibre connection and our unique FWA (fixed wireless access) technology to ensure we can reach the most rural communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting broadband systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Install Fibre and Wireless services from Airband main network to the customer's premises, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety standards. Set up and configuration of routers, modems, and other networking hardware & software to provide seamless full fibre and wireless connectivity. Perform thorough testing services to confirm functionality and signal strength. Deliver all installations in a professional manner. Always maintain a high level of health and safety awareness. Maintain own stock levels & vehicle cleanliness. Complete fibre and wireless install surveys using IT equipment provided such as laptop, phone, and tablets. Use of Fibre Cloud, Weezie and third-party network architecture software to provide detailed install plans. Submission of defected infrastructure using provided software/apps. Use of business systems including PIA, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, PeopleHR, Health & Safety Apps, SICON Use of wide range of hand and power tools to aid in the installation of customer fibre and wireless services. Use of a hoist to survey or install when needed. Out of Hours (OOH) on-call work may be required on a rota basis. Liaising with third parties including landowners, utilities, build contractors, landlords and customers. Key Skills Customer service. Technical understanding and ability to learn new technologies. Able to independently solve problems Expert troubleshooting Must be comfortable working at heights (including rooftops) Mandatory It is important that all our engineers have the right certifications to be compliant and safe whilst working.
