Scope of Position:
goPoint Ltd., is Bermuda’s exclusive NCR reseller for the hospitality, retail and financial sectors. We are seeking a General Manager to be responsible for the overall operation of the business, achievement of the annual operating plan, and optimizing shareholder value.
* Developing and implementing strategic plans: working closely with the Directors to define the overall strategy to operate and grow the business and the tactics to achieve that strategy.
* Full P/(L) control: Understanding and executing pipeline, forecasting and revenue projections with full P/(L) responsibility for the business on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
* Directing the continuous improvement of the business: continually identifying potential improvements to revenue, profits, and cash flow, evaluating options for each, and selectively implementing those with the greatest potential to improve the business.
* Interacting with customers: maintaining positive relationships with customers and performing regular site visits.
* Developing a positive culture: Developing a positive, inclusive, and cooperative work culture that promotes high productivity and dedication and encourages contributions to make the business better.
* Leading by Example & Developing the Team: setting the tone for how the team should approach challenges, achieve goals, and interact with each other and customers; Interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, and monitoring suitable candidates to perform all field work.
* Setting and Achieving goals: Setting goals for and evaluating team performance, continually motivating the team to exceed the goals. Recognizing high achievers for their success and counseling/training low achievers to accomplish more.
* Communicating with the Team: Ensuring that all staff are in the right jobs where they have the best chance for success, that their accomplishments are identified and recognized, their challenges are identified and resolved, and the salaries and benefits are commensurate with their experience, performance, and needs of the position.
* Communicating with Shareholders: Providing regular reports to the Shareholders on the operations of the business. Identifying and communicating business risks and opportunities and their impacts as well as solutions and action items to minimize or eliminate risks and to capture opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in Art or Science in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or Operations Management from a 4-year accredited college or university.
* 5-10 years of experience as a manager with P/(L) responsibility for a services business and previous experience with software and services organizations that sell Point-of-Sale, Payment Applications, ATMs, and/or marketing programs.
* Previous hands-on POS/ATM repair experience in a customer field environment would be preferred.
* Outstanding leadership, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
