FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (CHEMICAL FLUID HANDLING & WATER TREATMENT SERVICES) This thriving and ambitious business is looking to capitalise on its continued growth by adding 2 Field Service Engineers to join their already thriving team at their Ashby De La Zouch head office. You will provide on or off-site corrective or preventative maintenance and repairs for products in both existing and new customers. Reporting to the Service Operations Manager you will be responsible for after-sales technical support solutions and upgrade of products alongside emergency breakdown support in the field. Additionally, you will provide installation, commissioning and maintenance as part of the aftersales service contracts. Working within an established team, you will Perform all assigned jobs according to the technical and work instruction supplied; Evaluating and resolving problems with supplied products; The installation/commissioning of supplied products; Liaising with and working alongside technical sales engineers; Offering customer training on site; Repairing, testing and maintaining products on and off site; Monitoring the performance of products; Providing customers with regular reports and feedback on their service requests; Developing and maintaining relationships with customers; Making recommendations to (onsite) maintenance technicians; Providing customers with equipment upgrade options where relevant; Ensuring that all service reports are provided in a timely manner; Travel within the UK is a common feature, therefore staying away from home will be necessary (Approx 2 nights per week) International travel may also be required to repair/maintain and install products in a Marine working environment. Essential Skills/Qualifications Advantageous: 18th Edition Electrically qualified. Experience in a similar role from the Food & Beverage, Swimming Pool or Water Treatment Industries Minimum requirements: Level 3 National Extended Diploma Engineering – Mechatronics or equivalent Committed to delivering world class customer service at the highest level. You should be able to follow safety procedures at all times, working carefully, with great attention to detail. Be able to identify, analyse and evaluate risk. You should be able to follow detailed plans and instructions. Great ability to communicate both verbal and written, with a professional attitude. A proven self starter with a can do attitude. You should have the ability to solve problems and think analytically. A degree of flexibility is required for working hours and travel.
