Technical Support Engineer / Systems Support Engineer Job Type: Full-time Location: London Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to work closely with various departments and the IT Manager to install, implement, and maintain systems and/or software. This role involves planning upgrades, providing first/second line support, managing situations, and mentoring staff in the use of company IT systems. Day to day of the role: Collaborate with departments to plan and implement system and software upgrades in conjunction with the IT Manager. Provide first/second line support for colleagues and clients, managing technical, hardware, or software crisis situations. Train and mentor staff in the use of IT and in house business systems including Sage X3, Datalinx, and MS Office applications. Assist with the development of company websites and ensure appropriate staff access for content updates. Report directly to the IT Manager and contribute to the implementation of organisational strategy. Required Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in hardware, operating systems, and software. Experience supporting business systems/applications/software. Experience working with individuals and groups successfully. Exposure to Microsoft 365 Admin Roles, SharePoint, Securities, Compliance, Teams, and Exchange. Understanding of Microsoft Group Policy, Installation Rollout, and Intune (desirable) Preferably knowledgeable in Sage X3 ERP and Datalinx software systems - or if not similar business software/applications. Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Organisational experience and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
