The role requires successful applicants to be responsible for the provision of therapy and first aid services to the NTFC Academy on a casual basis. Main duties include: - providing therapy services during evening training and weekends within the Academy for U9-U16 players. - Support with Medical screenings and physical testing of players. - Ensuring appropriate assessment and diagnosis of injuries sustained by U9-U16 players within the Academy. - Ensuring appropriate therapeutic interventions for players with injuries and prevention of injury strategies are implemented within the Academy. - Ensuring that appropriate and comprehensive medical notes are completed and uploaded onto Kitman Labs in accordance with the appropriate timeframe - To attend games at home or away as required and provide immediate attention to any injuries sustained. Successful applicants will be required to comply with all aspects of the Club’s “Code of Conduct”. They will also be required to ensure all CPD requirements are met in accordance with the role and ongoing personal development and are expected to adhere to Health & Safety Regulations. The role will largely be weekday evenings between 4.30 and 9pm and weekends and will require both commitment and flexibility. The successful applicants will be responsible to: - The Lead Academy Physiotherapists on all major decisions with regard to injuries, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, as well as availability to cover sessions and games. - The Academy Manager on medical matters affecting Academy players - The Academy Coaches in relation to players, their injury status and prevention of injury strategies About The Candidate Essential - Qualified to the minimum Therapist requirement as set out in the Football league regulations. - Hold a current FA Intermediate Trauma Medical Management Qualification (ITMMiF) or equivalent - applicants without this qualification will still be considered providing they agree to complete this before starting the role - Holds/or willing to acquire an FA Safeguarding Qualification - Excellent communication skills include players, parents and coaching staff regarding player injury and rehabilitation. - The ability to work on your own initiative as well as being able to work as part of a team - Be committed and have a flexible approach to work - Adaptable- being proactive and versatile in your approach and having a willingness to be flexible when needed. - A commitment to continuing professional development Desirable - Additional requirements that would be ideal but not a requirement for shortlisting.
