About the job: The Electrical Controls Engineer is a key role within the Control Systems Team. You will be responsible for providing end to end electrical controls support on our LNG Hose Transfer System projects; from customer enquiry to project commissioning. You will report to the Technical Manager Control Systems. The main office & production facility is based in Westbury, Wiltshire, UK. Responsibilities also include: Review & interpretation of customer electrical specifications and associated standards. Reference to our standard project designs and production of deviation lists. Preparation of design specifications. Interaction with primary control system suppliers on issues of design, compliance, documentation, delivery and installation, site visits and aftermarket remote support. Adhere to the Company’s policy on Health, Safety and Environment. Operate to company general requirements in regard to: Company Policy and Objectives and Companywide continual improvement To be able to work in a pressurised environment maintaining efficiency and accuracy at all times. Review and amendment of supplier drawings. Preparation of customer drawings pack (primarily customisation of standard designs): System Architecture, System Block Diagram, GAs & Datasheets, P&IDs, Electrical Cable/Wiring Schedule, Loop Diagrams & Termination Drawings, Gland Specification Plans, I/O Lists, Instrumentation Sheets, Cause & Effect etc., FAT & SAT Procedures. Reply to customer project questions. Pre-delivery FAT. About the ideal candidate: Degree qualified in electrical engineering or similar. PLC Training: B&R, Siemens PCS7 desirable. Excellent written & spoken English. Professional and able to operate independently. Significant experience (min 3 years) as an Electrical Controls/Automation Engineer, preferably including marine or offshore projects. Use of CAD (e.g. E-Plan) and experience producing documents above Programming experience is desirable, but not essential. Knowledge of functional safety (SIL2) is desirable, but not essential.
