MFL Teacher – Stevenage

Salary: MPS/UPS (M1 to UPS3)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teacher to join a rapidly improving secondary school in Stevenage. Role Overview
The successful candidate will teach Modern Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, or German) across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the ongoing development of the MFL department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Modern Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, or German) across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching)
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
* Assess, track, and report on the progress of students in line with school policies
* Contribute to curriculum development and the sharing of best practice within the department
* Foster a positive classroom environment that supports both student learning and well-being
* Participate actively in the school’s continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject. You should have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4, with experience or willingness to teach KS5 seen as advantageous. The ideal candidate will be passionate about languages and committed to raising student achievement in an improving school environment.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related discipline
* Experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4 levels
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students
* Commitment to contributing to the school’s wider improvement goals
