About the role
ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive secondary school in Hall Green from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual who is passionate about supporting students and making a real impact in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects
* Leading small group interventions to enhance student progress
* Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
* Assisting with classroom management and student engagement
* Supporting students with additional learning needs

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Secondary HLTA you will:
* HLTA qualification (or relevant experience)
* Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A passion for education and student development
* Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* a HLTA qualification, experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.
