Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Customer Accounts Officer
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Customer Accounts Officer (Support) in the Customer Accounts Team. The Team delivers the Karbon income management service.
About the role
The Customer Accounts Officer (Support) will deliver a holistic income management service to maximise Karbon's rental income and sustain customers' tenancies. Engaging with customers from the outset of their tenancy you will identify and negotiate effective payment solutions with customers across a designated patch.
About you
We are looking for a good communicator with a strong track record in delivering income management services. You will work collaboratively, well under pressure and have comprehensive knowledge of rent arrears recovery practices and legislation.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of housing benefit and universal credit claims, assisting customers with their completion and providing basic welfare benefit and money advice to customers.

* Customer Accounts Officer (Support) - fixed term role until 29/03/2026
* Salary is 35,117 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of 2,260 per annum (pending pay review)
* Location: Stanley
* Regular travel will be required
* 37 hours per week with some homeworking available / flexible working
