Position: M&E Project Engineers – Anaerobic Digestion
Location: Birmingham or Oxfordshire with flexible working
Salary Guide: £45-55k DOE
Our Client: Is committed to decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors by unlocking the full potential of biomethane production in the UK. They plan to make an immediate impact by reducing transport, industry and agriculture CO2 emissions by 2023.
The company creates & procures biogas from anaerobic digestion facilities in the UK and upgrades it to biomethane. Their biomethane is transported from the anaerobic digestion facility to its point of use, utilising biomethane-powered trucks. The low carbon biomethane will be directly used as an alternative fuel to power vehicles and also injected into the gas grid to create renewable heat.
The company has excellent prospects ahead and has plans to grow substantially in the coming years.
The Role: Our client is developing and building multiple multi-year Contracts and Projects in the UK. They are looking for skilled people to deliver on these fantastic opportunities in Anaerobic Digestion and CNG.
Duties:
1. Delivering project tasks and designs, working with the internal team and process contractors/suppliers at various stages in the project life cycle to deliver projects to specification, within agreed time frames and budget.
2. Reviewing technical specifications (both from internal engineering team and external Client standards) to ensure they meet the project technical and commercial requirements.
3. Managing the supply chain through the procurement, engineering, implementation, commissioning and handover phase.
4. Ensuring review of supplier schedules against the contract programme, advising of any changes that will affect completion.
5. Ensuring production of monthly progress reports from the supply chain, if necessary, facilitating and coordinating progress meetings.
Experience: You will have worked within multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating and supporting staff. You will be proactive and happy to take ownership of tasks and contribute to the growth of the business.
Our client is looking for enthusiastic problem solvers who enjoy working as part of a developing business. You should understand anaerobic digestion, sludge treatment or water and wastewater treatment, and have knowledge of regulations and guidance for CNG, DSEAR regulations, and Biogas/biomethane technologies.
Qualifications:
1. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
2. Experience in supply chain expedition.
3. CDM & Health & Safety knowledge.
4. Experience in development of new and emerging technologies.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on working effectively in cross-functional teams at all levels of the company.
6. Self-motivated, with good organisational and time management skills.
7. Excellent IT skills. Additional knowledge of CAD would be beneficial.
8. Full UK driving licence, prepared for regular UK and occasional overseas travel.
9. Adaptable, agile, and flexible in their approach to working.
