Service Care Solutions are seeking a qualified Solicitor to join the COPFS in Scotland on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity involves working closely with the Scottish Government to facilitate a thorough and transparent response to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) investigation into certain COVID-19 related deaths. The ideal candidate will bring their civil litigation experience—preferably within the public sector or government litigation—to enhance our legal team’s capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with team members to support the implementation of a robust and effective strategy for responding to the COPFS investigation. Provide proactive support to client divisions throughout the investigation process. Analyze documentary and other relevant materials to offer informed legal advice. Conduct interviews and take witness statements accurately and efficiently. Draft precise and comprehensive written materials to support ongoing legal activities. Qualifications and Skills: A valid Solicitor qualification with experience in civil litigation, particularly within the public sector or government environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and present it clearly. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions. A strong team player with a proactive approach to supporting clients and colleagues alike.
