We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team at the UK Management College - Derby Campus. This is a full-time position, but we also welcome applications from those interested in part-time work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering teaching materials for undergraduate students in Health and Social Care. This involves ensuring high-quality educational experiences that align with institutional goals and quality standards, as well as contributing to ongoing research and practice in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Curriculum Development:
* Deliver engaging and effective lectures and seminars across core Health and Social Care modules.
* Develop and revise curriculum materials to ensure alignment with current industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
* Apply varied teaching techniques to address diverse student needs and improve learning outcomes.
2. Student Assessment & Support:
* Supervise student projects, internships, and field placements.
* Develop fair and transparent assessment methods and provide timely feedback to support student development.
* Act as a personal tutor, supporting students academically and pastorally, and connecting them to additional resources as needed.
3. Research & Scholarship:
* Engage in scholarly activities that contribute to the field of Health and Social Care.
* Collaborate with colleagues on research projects and publish findings that impact teaching and practice.
* Seek funding for research initiatives and support knowledge exchange activities.
4. Networking & Partnerships:
* Establish and maintain links with health and social care providers for student placements, research, and community projects.
* Represent the institution in conferences and networks relevant to Health and Social Care education and research.
5. Administrative & Quality Assurance:
* Handle academic duties such as student admissions, timetabling, and assessment records.
* Ensure that all course content and delivery methods comply with quality assurance guidelines and contribute to program reviews and accreditation processes.
