Philspace Ltd is a leading supplier of temporary and portable site accommodation and require a 'Maintenance and Yard Operative ' to join this progressively expanding company. Main duties will consist of working as part of a team to clean, maintain and repair our fleet of temporary site accommodation. Salary: From £15.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience), The equivalent of £31,200 Annual Salary. Working Hours: Good work life balance hours: 7.30am till 4pm, Monday to Friday - Basic 40 hours per week, paid weekly. Flexible overtime and occasional weekend work, Additional hours available if requested. Qualifications: Driving Licence Essential, Formal qualifications are less important than general skills, experience and a willingness to receive instruction/training. You will be expected to provide your own hand tools. Power tools are supplied by the company. Experience:Would ideally suit an individual with a variety of skills from a general maintenance and repair background. Knowledge of mechanical and or electrical maintenance, metal work, carpentry, plumbing or airless paint spraying would be an advantage. Must be conscientious, reliable, and flexible 'Team Player'. Possess the ability to prioritise your work schedule on a daily basis, ensuring tasks are completed within the timescale given. Must be able to follow instructions but also be able to use own initiative as and when required. Be willing to learn and be safety conscious. JOB DESCRIPTION To work as part of a team to clean, maintain and repair our fleet of temporary site accommodation. Maintenance and repairs could involve painting, plumbing, electrics, carpentry, metal work, locks, cleaning, paint preparation and fleet signage. Larger projects could involve the conversion of units, i.e. Fitting of partitions, replacing doors and windows, fitting sinks and worktops. Attending customer sites to deal with hire breakdowns, damage repairs and any other reactive maintenance. Customer and Supplier contact both in person and by telephone. The servicing of our fleet of Welfare Units which will involve mechanical maintenance to the generators. Liaising with the Yard Forman and Operations Manager with regards to workload priorities and overtime requirements. Stock deliveries to be checked off and stored in the correct place. Maintaining our housekeeping procedures by ensuring all work areas are kept in a good and tidy order and making sure all tools and equipment are stored away correctly. General upkeep of our yards, workshops and offices. Ensuring our Health & Safety systems and procedures are followed and adhered to. Any other ad hoc duties as required by the company. ADZN1_UKTJ
