Teaching Assistants x2 Glendale Infant School Nuneaton Salary Grade: F7 – 10 Contract Type: Permanent Contract Basis: Full time (28.5 hours per week, term time 5 training days) Anticipated Start date: September 2025 Glendale Infant School is excited to be establishing “Oaks”, a specialist resource provision where children are nurtured and educated in a way that matches their need. The focus of our specialist resource provision will be Communication and Interaction. We are looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective teaching assistants who has the skills and ambition to help enable the children to accomplish their learning and personal targets. The role is suited to someone with a sense of purpose, a positive outlook and attitude and a passion for helping children be the best that they can be. You will work within a team of staff who are skilled in adapting learning and delivery to enable all children to succeed and this career opportunity would enable the right candidate to work alongside staff who continue to develop outstanding practice. The successful candidate will need: 1. To establish good working relationships with the class teacher and SENDCO 2. To work with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment 3. To support the delivery of learning activities and support pupils 1 to 1 and in a group during these activities. 4. To promote positive values and attitudes 5. To communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues 6. To monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed 7. To prepare, maintain and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use 8. NVQ Level 2 Qualification in supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is a requirement 9. Good Numeracy and Literacy skills 10. Makaton training would be an advantage The successful candidate will demonstrate: Good knowledge of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curricula The ability to support children at all levels, but particularly children with SEN Commitment to working within a team to continue to provide quality services for our children and families Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.
