The Role - SENCO
I am working with an all-through SEMH school based in Bromley that is looking for a SENCO to join their team! In this SENCO role, you will be working under the direction of the headteacher and must determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability. As the SENCO, you will work with early years providers, other schools, educational psychologists, health and social care professionals, and other external agencies. You will be a key point of contact for external agencies, especially the local authority. You must analyse assessment data for pupils with SEN and implement and lead intervention groups for pupils with SEN to evaluate their effectiveness.
The School - All-through SEMH
This SEMH school is based in Bromley and caters for students aged 5 - 16 years old. The school's focus is on developing core skills of literacy and numeracy while offering a broad range of other curriculum areas to provide real interest for their pupils. They have been awarded an overall effectiveness grade of Good with Leadership and Management being graded as Outstanding by Ofsted. The school has great transport links, and many local bus routes.
