Main duties of the job
The primary function of this role is to ensure the provision of clean linen to all departments.

Job responsibilities
1. Collection, sorting and categorising of soiled and clean linen in preparation for washing and finishing.
2. Loading and unloading of washing machines and dryers, ensuring that all work processed is given the correct amount of time.
3. Distribution of clean linen to the relevant departments, replenishing stocks as required.
4. Ensure cleanliness of all equipment.
5. Checking of detergents and notifying the appropriate staff member when they need ordering.
6. To assist with cleaning duties as and when required.
7. To undergo training as required.
8. Ensure that safe working practices are maintained at all times and that duties are performed in accordance with Health & Safety, COSHH and other relevant statutory requirements.
9. To read, understand and comply with all Laundry policies and procedures, applying the principles as appropriate to the role.
10. To ensure mandatory training is completed.

* A basic standard of Education required.
Knowledge
* A good understanding of Health & Safety.

* Experience of working in a similar environment.

* Ability to work under pressure.
