PRIMARY SEN TEACHER REQUIRED - Stoke-on-Trent
Academics are looking for a Long Term Supply SEN Teacher to support a small group of 8 pupils ranging from EYFS to Year 1. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a proven track record of working effectively with young children requiring additional support.
Key Responsibilities may include:
* Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for each pupil
* Deliver tailored lessons and activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting strategies as needed
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to provide comprehensive support
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on pupil progress and address any concerns
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Extensive experience in teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs
* Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and current methodologies
* Experience in creating and implementing IEPs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
