Introduction
Our client is a growing SME who specialise in Secure Systems and are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join their team and lead engagements within the MOD as they assist them on their digital transformation journey.
You will work across the whole lifecycle from capturing requirements, architecture and design implementation and test.

This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days on site per week in either Bristol or Corsham.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and implement the architecture for highly secure systems for clients in the MOD.
2. Work across the whole lifecycle from capturing requirements, architecture and implementation and into live service.
3. Lead workshops with users and business leaders to ensure that secure solutions meet requirements.
4. Act as the Customer Friend as well as a technical leader.
5. Lead methodology and technology selection, ensuring the most suitable and cost-effective solutions for operational environments.
6. Ensure projects are delivered and deployed successfully into live environments.
7. Identify new business opportunities and support bids and tenders.
8. Leading the digital transformation journey.
9. Designing policies and standards suitable for the Defence enterprise.
Skills & Experience
1. Previous experience in a leading Solutions Architecture role within Defence/National Security.
2. A broad understanding of technology including Infrastructure, Networks, Applications and Service Architectures.
3. An in-depth understanding of the MOD, their Architecture and their challenges regarding working in multi-site environments and remote sites without internet.
4. Experience gathering and managing requirements during architectural development.
5. Either be a Chartered Engineer or an interest in working towards it.
6. Security requirements of Network, Cloud, Infrastructure architectures as well as PKI, Cryptography, etc.
7. Familiarity with TOGAF, Archimate and other architectural frameworks.
8. Ability to contribute to business development, bids and tenders.
