Overview
As a result of rapid growth, we need a PowerBi Developer to join our Data and Engineering team.
Founded in 2016 as an Amazon agency, Optimizon is one of the UK’s most exciting and fast-growing marketplace agencies, dedicated to building and protecting brands on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Wayfair, Onbuy, Mano Mano, DIY.com and many more all over the world.
Based in London and Swindon, with a hybrid office/WFH policy, we have a multi-team approach led by our account managers, supported by our Creative, Advertising, Data Analysis and Technical teams.
Key role responsibilities:
1. Leading the development and maintenance of advanced Power BI dashboards.
2. Defining and enforcing technical standards, ensuring data security, and implementing appropriate access controls and data protection measures.
3. Managing data sets, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data, which often involves data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
4. Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement processes.
5. Troubleshooting data-related issues and maintaining the Power BI infrastructure to ensure it’s up-to-date and running smoothly.
6. Staying updated with the latest features, updates, and best practices to leverage them effectively.
7. Mentoring team members to enhance their skills in line with project requirements.
Requirements and skills:
1. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, Power BI Gateway, DAX, and Power Query.
2. Proficiency in creating dashboards, data visualisations, and storytelling with data.
3. Experience with SQL.
4. Experience with ETL processes.
5. Familiarity with data warehousing fundamentals.
6. Understanding of SDLC best practices.
7. Strong collaboration skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively collaborate with other developers to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
8. Experience working in an Agile delivery team and producing and deploying applications in a production environment.
9. Excellent attention to detail, the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in data and correct issues.
10. Tableau experience is advantageous (migrating dashboards from Tableau to PBI).
