We have an opportunity at our prestigious Canterbury Gallery to join the team as a Gallery Technician. We’re looking for a proactive individual, with excellent organisational skills to help maintain gallery operations and standards. This role is part-time, working 4 days out of 7 in the gallery (Monday & Tuesday for delivery are essential). You’ll be responsible for setting up new artist releases, gallery events, and exhibitions throughout the year and also supporting the gallery team during peak times. What The Gallery Technician Role Includes:
• You’ll manage the stockroom efficiently, ensuring that all artwork is clearly labelled, accessible, and easy to find
• You’ll ensure artwork is treated carefully and damage is minimised through correct wrapping and storage
• You’ll process all gallery deliveries correctly and in line with stockroom procedures
• You’ll support the gallery team with re-hanging as and when required, including printing and displaying price tags and artist biographies for all artwork on show
• You’ll support the gallery team in the organising and running of artist appearances and other gallery events and exhibitions throughout the year
• You’ll provide after-sales follow up with clients and provide feedback on client satisfaction
• As this role also entails physical duties on a daily basis, we’ll need you to be able to handle such tasks whilst working

What We Need From You:
• You’ll be extremely well-organised and efficient in dealing with multiple tasks
• You’re confident, highly presentable and with an understanding of exceptional customer service
• As Client interaction will also be a regular occurrence, you’ll have excellent communication skills
• You’ll have the ability to effectively communicate in person and by phone
• You’ll have a keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• You’ll be highly motivated to achieve against set targets (including sales targets when necessary)
• A driving license is essential (for possible home consultation visits with clients)
